Vintage Elegance...

This lovely sewing project has been sitting on my work table for simply weeks now, and I have been hoping to complete it so that I might show you all...
I did the embroidery just before going away in April, and I spent this morning
sewing everything together whilst listening to beautiful instrumental music and chatting with my sister...

Anyone who knows me knows how I love anything vintage and elegant, and this darling clothes hanger is both!  I orginally wanted to make it as a gift for a sweet friend of mine, but alas!
I got a little too attached to it and now it graces my own bedroom...smiles...
Perhaps I will make another sometime...we will see!

I love doing simple embroidery, and these flowers were so delightful to create with needle and thread...
Little pearly white seed beads add a gorgeous three dimensional effect to each flower centre and bud, and I used white anglaise as a frill which adds unique vintage charm and a soft, feminine finish...

Oh, I love how this clothes hanger turned out and what fun it was to make!  I don't usually work in all-white fabrics, but I think I might attempt it a bit more often as it is quite pleasing to the eye...what do you think...?

I hope each of my dear readers are having a beautifully blessed weekend!

~ Blessings ~

Good morning, Kelly! Your lovely hanger is just gorgeous, and the vintage style is so satisfying. Your embroidery work is excellent and perfect for it.
Btw, google is at it again... I just got 3 of your posts from different days delivered in the same instant. *sigh*
Have a wonderful weekend!

It is such a delight to visit your blog today and to admire the beautiful handiwork that is so magnified in your hanger. Every touch to it and the loveliness of your workmanship is just amazing. It looks like it would belong in the closet of a true and elegant lady in a vintage era or would be a gift passed down through the generations to ladies in a family.

This inspires me so, especially in the exquisite embroidery. It is absolutely lovely. I hope to work on embroidery some this summer to get better.

I had the blessing of also reading your post just now on seasons of loneliness and wanted to thank you for the words and eloquent sharing of your thoughts that so blessed my heart and mind on that subject. What an amazing example you set. This is something I think a lot about, and to read your post was a gift because it reminded me how being content in the Lord and family and his gifts to us now is the way to take joy in our days in this season of life as we wait on His timing.

God bless you, dear friend♥
It is such a joy to visit your blog, and also to read your comments. Thank you so much, for they are the utmost pleasure to read. I enjoyed so much hearing of your sweet little dog watching you crafting too! So precious.

Hugs to you,
Jazzmin

Beautiful work Kelly-Anne! I love white-on-white. It is so old-fashioned and sweet.

Oh, sweet Kelly-Anne, I too love the simple (yet very elegant) white in embroidery. There is something so pure and delicate about it. I love your hanger and your beautiful embroidery! I used to do embroidery and loved doing silk-ribbon embroidery as well. I love the added seed beads, and this reminds me of how peaceful it is to sit and use our hands to design things that mirror the beauty of God's creation! Thank you, dear friend, once again for sharing a bit of your life and encouraging us as women! Love and hugs!

Hello, This is such a pretty and vintage hanger. You will have it for years! I am glad you kept it for yourself. Love the white in white and the little pearl beads. I have always enjoyed seeing embroidering. A lost art that seems to be having a comeback!
Blessings, Roxy

This is a wonderful idea. I use padded hangers for all my gowns and robes and some dresses. What pretty hangers these are for your clothes. Happy weekend sweet girl. Hugs, Diane

This is so pretty Kelly-Anne! I just bought a vintage wood hanger for a small child and was thinking of how I could make some myself. I have some vintage white dresses and sleep gowns hanging in my bedroom but I need some hangers to match. Hopefully one day soon you'll see a post on what I came up with. Have a wonderful week! Such a gorgeous hanger, Kelly-Anne! Wouldn''t it look lovely with a vintage dress adorning it. Your embroidery is lovely. Just visiting you from the bottom of the world via The Enchanting Rose. So, so happy to have happened upon your lovely blog and to 'meet' another who adores all things vintage!
